Basket Range Wine was brought into being by Phillip Broderick in 1980 at Basket Range, situated between Lenswood and the Piccadilly Valley in the cool climate Adelaide Hills.  Our first vineyard soon gave way to our current position a little higher up the hill and of many more hectares.  

A sunny aspect and steep slopes produce consistently high quality grapes - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir and Saperavi.  Each year a small proportion is retained to produce the Basket Range Cabernet Blend, as well as a Pinot when Phillip is moved to do so.  We look forward to the Saperavi becoming productive so it can join the range.

Each vintage Vino Cotto is made, using the traditional method, and always popular.
